HEICO-LOCK Wedge Lock Washer Standard - Stainless Steel

The HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock Washer (Standard Series) in stainless steel is a vibration-resistant locking system engineered for critical bolted joints exposed to dynamic loads and cyclic stress. The locking mechanism operates on a preload-based wedge principle (α > β), where cam face geometry converts loosening motion into increased clamping force, while radial teeth mechanically interlock with mating surfaces to prevent rotational back-off.

Manufactured from A4 / 316L stainless steel with surface hardening to high hardness levels, the system delivers excellent corrosion resistance and long-term joint stability in demanding environments. Supplied as pre-assembled pairs and produced to tightly controlled dimensional tolerances in accordance with recognized fastening standards, the standard series ensures consistent performance across a wide range of bolt applications. Detailed dimensions are provided below to ensure correct specification and installation.

Even under extremes of vibration or dynamic loads, the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Locking System provides maximum reliability.

When the bolt is tightened, the external radial teeth of the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock System embed themselves in an interlocking fashion with the respective mating surface.

If the securing system is subject to dynamic stress, movement is only possible between the internal washer surfaces. This results in an increase in the clamping force.
