HEICO-LOCK Wedge Lock Washer Standard - Steel

The HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock Washer (Standard Series) in steel is engineered for secure fastening of bolted joints subjected to vibration, dynamic loading, and mechanical stress. The system utilizes a dual-washer wedge-locking principle, where precision-formed cam faces generate increased clamping force under loosening torque, ensuring preload retention independent of friction. Radial serrations mechanically embed into mating surfaces to prevent rotational back-off and maintain joint integrity under service conditions.

Manufactured from high-strength steel with corrosion-resistant surface treatment, each washer is produced to controlled dimensional tolerances in accordance with recognized fastening standards. Supplied as pre-assembled pairs and organized within a durable, compartmentalized storage case, the assortment enables efficient identification, rapid selection, and reliable on-site application. Even under extremes of vibration or dynamic loads, the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Locking System provides maximum reliability.

When the bolt is tightened, the external radial teeth of the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock System embed themselves in an interlocking fashion with the respective mating surface.

If the securing system is subject to dynamic stress, movement is only possible between the internal washer surfaces. This results in an increase in the clamping force.
